Bronze Medallion Week - December 2019

Jan Juc Surf Life Saving Club provides a week long program where candidates are trained and assessed in the skills that are expected to be performed as a lifesaver. Surf lifesavers must possess a high level of physical fitness and an ability to operate in emergency situations on both land and in water. Therefore, the program will require candidates to partake in a variety of physically strenuous activities in these situations in preparation for the role as a surf lifesaver. The degree of knowledge and skills gained, along with rapidly improved physical fitness during the week, often surprises the candidate.

Candidates are trained by qualified club members during this annual week long program, ending with an assessment of skills by qualified volunteer Lifesaving Victoria assessors.
