Jan Juc SLSC’s major fundraising events
This event is an important fund-raising event for the Jan Juc Surf Life Saving Club and all money raised helps keep volunteer patrols on the beach at Jan Juc, keeping community and visitors safe. Obtaining your and the community’s continued support for this event is vital to the 100% volunteer service.
Where do I complete a Virtual event?
It’s up to you where and when you complete the course – whether it’s the run or the swim or both and you can run around your local oval, swim in the local pool, run the streets of your neighbourhood or the ocean or bay near your home – just complete the selected distance between 1-28 February 2021 and upload your time.
Jan Juc & Torquay Local entrants
The Jan Juc Surf Club has also added the Virtually Dangerous swim and run courses as Strava segments, so if you are lucky enough to be in Jan Juc during the event period, you can record your swim or run on the actual courses in your own time. All Jan Juc Nippers will be competing in the event as part of the Jan Juc Nipper Summer Surf Education Program in early January.
10, 20 & 30 year participation entrants
For regular entrants in the events who are working their way towards 10, 20, or 30 year participation medals – the virtual events count towards years of entry recognition.
