STATEWIDE SERVICES

These awards are delivered by LSV Statewide Service Trainers, not Jan Juc volunteer Trainers. For members aspiring to become paid Lifeguards over the summer season, please check LSV Circulars  regularly. Following season Expressions of Interest via LSV Lifesaving Operations are usually released in May/June of the preceding season.

Gold Medallion (GM)

Undertaken at Advanced Lifesaving Camp in September school holiday period.



Pain Management (PAIN)

For Senior Lifeguards only.


Rescue Watercraft Operator (RWC)

Please note multiple prerequisites and all awards must be maintained .


Silver Medallion Aquatic Rescue (SMAR)

This award is additional and not required for general Lifeguard services.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Any member, in particular TAFs, Patrol Captains/Vice Patrol Captains, Beach Leaders, Coaches, Officials and Lifeguards are recommended to undertake annual Professional Development. It is recommended you commence with the bolded courses.
