Aquatice Rescue Awards: BRONZE MEDALLION

BRONZE MEDALLION (BM)

Whilst there are many entry points into Surf Life Saving, the Bronze Medallion is the most common and has been a lifesaving standard award for over one hundred years. Initially developed in England by the Royal Lifesaving Society in 1892; the Bronze Medallion has been adapted over time by Surf Life Saving Australia to suit the aquatic environmental conditions of Australia.

Please register your interest in participating via this link - Expression of Interest SRC or BM

Course Description

The Bronze Medallion course provides you with the skills and knowledge to become a surf lifesaver for patrolling and water safety. This helps to keep yourself and others around you safer in an aquatic environment and enables you to perform such activities as aquatic rescues, communications, emergency care and first aid.

No prior lifesaving experience is required to complete the Bronze Medallion - we teach you everything. You must be able to complete the timed swim.
