Silver Medallion Patrol Captain Award (SMPC)

This award should be held by Patrol Captains, Vice-Patrol Captains, Trainers, Assessors & Facilitators, Beach Leaders and Lifeguards.

Course Description

Provides participants with the skills, knowledge and experience to manage a beach in emergency and non-emergency situations. This is a mandatory patrol requirement and required for all Patrol Captains.

Course Pre-Requisites

• Must be a financial Club member prior to course registration
• Minimum 17 years old (on the date of final assessment)
• Current Bronze Medallion
• One other patrolling award
• Minimum of 2 years of patrolling experience
• Complete the 'On the Job Third Party Report' form under the guidance of a mentor or Patrol Captain before enrolling in the course

Expires 31 December each year

Skills Maintenance

An annual Skills Maintenance must be undertaken by 31st December to keep this award proficient.
