SIDE-BY-SIDE VEHICLE OPERATOR (SSV)

If you do not hold a Bronze Medallion, then you are required to undertake the Radio Operator Certificate (ROC) before operating the vehicle.

This vehicle is used in many areas of member activity to move equipment and minimise OHS risks to members.

Course Description

The SSV award provides participants with the skills and knowledge to operate an SSV safely and effectively for lifesaving purposes.

Course Prerequisites

• Minimum 18 years old
• Current Driver's Licence
• Required to undertake training in specific vehicle and environment operations prior to use

How to Maintain Currency

Complete a new course every 12 months (coincides with Skills Maintenance sessions)

Jan Juc SLSC where possible run blended courses, meaning the theory and theory assessment is completed at home prior to the course, thus condensed face-to-face time. Once you have enrolled, the eLearning is available in the ‘Viewed Enrolled Course’ section of the Member Training Portal.
