FULL BRONZE OR BRIDGING BRONZE?
The course runs over 7 days. Starting on Saturday 14th December 2024 and finishing on Friday 20th December. If you already hold your SRC and meet the pre-requisites (see below) you are eligible for the Bridging Bronze course which removes the need to attend on Saturday and Sunday, and start on Monday
For 2024 we want EVERYONE to complete the full 7 days even if you already have your Surf Rescue Certificate. Why:
1) We find our young candidates have forgotten much of the syllabus and benefit hugely from a relaxed tune up on the first two days.
2) Covering the syllabus in the first two days means there is less to squeeze into the camp element which makes for a more relaxing camp element, spreading the teaching over the 7 days, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
Candidates can choose to start on the Monday but only by exception, this needs to be approved by training@janjucsurfclub.com.au
HOW TO BOOK WITH LIFESAVING VICTORIA If you meet the bridging criteria book on the bridging course If you don't hold an Surf Rescue Certificate or don't meet the criteria simply book the 'Full Bronze Medallion' course. If you are unsure and will be the the full 7 days book the 'Full Bronze Medallion' course - it's just easier.
