HEALTH UNIT COURSES
Health Unit Courses Build essential emergency response and patient care skills through nationally accredited training. These courses equip members with recognised first aid and resuscitation qualifications, supporting both lifesaving operations and broader workplace and community needs.
Health Unit qualifications provide advanced emergency care capabilities for volunteer patrolling, water safety and lifeguard services. They can be completed without holding an aquatic award, making them accessible to members who wish to contribute through first aid, radio operations or support roles.
Jan Juc SLSC offers blended delivery wherever possible, combining online theory (completed at home) with practical face-to-face training to maximise flexibility and accessibility.
Course Pathways Include:
Resuscitation Certificate – Foundation CPR skills and use of AEDs
First Aid – Essential patient care, injury management and incident response
Advanced Resuscitation Techniques (ART) – Airway management, oxygen therapy and advanced CPR
Advanced Resuscitation Techniques including First Aid (ARTFA) – Combined qualification covering advanced resuscitation and comprehensive first aid competencies
Equip yourself with vital emergency care skills and play a critical role in keeping our beaches safe.
