HEALTH UNIT COURSES
The Health Unit Courses are nationally accredited courses which means a Statement of Attainment, containing Units of Competency achieved, is issued after successful completion of the relevant course. These Units of Competency are equivalent to workplace Health Unit Courses, and give advanced skills for volunteer patrolling, water safety and lifeguarding.
Health Unit courses may be undertaken without any aquatic award pre-requisite. With the gaining of a Radio Operator Certificate members are able to valuably contribute to patrolling and water safety teams without being aquatic proficient.
