JOIN NIPPERS TODAYNippers is about having fun, making lasting friendships, and teaching an appreciation and enjoyment of the ocean. Whatever the goal, be it simply to improve water safety and confidence, become a surf lifesaver or a champion iron athlete the program will teach the foundation skills needed. |
SURF TRAININGMembers who hold the Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion and are 13+ years can compete in Youth/Senior carnivals. There is a winter carnival season, which involves pool lifesaving and IRB competition, and a summer carnival season, which conducts the multi disciplinary events below. Carnivals for both seasons are conducted regularly throughout the state, culminating in the Victorian and Australian Championships. | SKILLS DEVELOPMENTThe Jan Juc SLSC offer many opportunities for development within surf lifesaving. Check out all the Skills training courses available with Jan Juc SLSC. | PATROLJan Juc Beach is patrolled by volunteer lifesavers and paid lifeguards throughout the summer. Volunteer lifesavers are trained and provided by Jan Juc SLSC. Paid lifeguards are trained by Life Saving Victoria and provided by the the Surf Coast Shire. |
Donations are always welcome and used to maintain rescue gear, purchase essential lifesaving services equipment, deliver training courses and provide quality lifesaving services. |
